Dark, complex, personal lyrics layered over strong beats and competent melodies.

This is a solid industrial album, more personal and pointed in the poetry than VNV Nation, though equally introspective. The sound is similar, though distinctive, and VNV fans -- as long as they don't rely on the political aspect of VNV -- should find this album in frequent play. The language of the poetry is as complex and articulate, especially Quicksand Effect, Drowning and Quiet Fury. The stellar track on this album is Blind, however, for the poetry and the music. It's a waltz (in 3/4 time, the first one I've found in EBM) of heart-aching longing and hopeless hope. The music is generally well done, but Blind and Haunted steal the musical show. This album fits beautifully into my playlists that include Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Claire Voyant, Diva Destruction, Apoptygma Berzerk's older work and Delphinium Blue's instrumentals.

You can so tell thats VNV Nation or at least releated.

Its very obvious. The singer sounds exactly like mark jackson(Singer to vnv nation I think.) but its diffrent though. Its a really good ablum though. And you can also tell its them OR releated by the building on it. Vnv nation always has this "Building" with them on their artwork and ablum furtureperfect.

Not just a VNV knockoff

Many people seem to think that this is a VNV Nation ripoff, but it simply is apart of the EBM genre. You will find similar sounds if you're looking in the same genre. That said, Lost Signal's lyrics and the tone of the songs are darker than most and this album personally stands out to me. Their song "Quicksand Effect" is definitely the best with the emotion and melody behind it, but all the songs are good picks if you enjoy dark EBM.

If you only have a $1, get "Quicksand Effect", but definitely consider giving the rest of the album a try as songs like "Mourn" and "Drowning" are also very good.
