Album Review
Although their debut, Costello Music, was already out in the U.K. by the time The Flathead EP was issued, American listeners were finally offered a taste of what the Fratellis were doing with the four songs found here. Costello Music would come out in the U.S. a few months later, but the EP contains two of the singles from the album, "Henrietta" and the iPod-friendly "Flathead," as well as two other songs, "Stacie Anne" and "Cigarello," both of which also do a good job at showing off the band's bright, dancey Scottish garage rock, and set the stage for the upcoming full-length.

Hey, $occerman...
by Comicboy3I don't think you could be a bigger hypocrite even if you planned it. Seriously? Boycotting an entire band because one of their albums (this one) has a woman's silhouette on the cover?! And this from someone (you) who has given Justin Timberlake's album FutureSEX/LOVESOUNDS a 5 out of 5? My god, you filthy hypocrite. Grow a pair before attacking good music because of an album cover. And you're worried about things for boycotting? Let's take a look at Mr. Timberlake's album that by your untrustworthy reckoning is fine, but this isn't:
Title: futureSEX, LOVE SOUNDS. What do you think "love sounds" means? I can assure you it's not moonlight serenades, in case that's what you were thinking. And the other half? Future sex? That's even more unambiguous. Gee, with a title like that, I wonder what the songs are about?
Which brings me to song titles: "Sexy Back" and "**** Girl". Both talk about, you guessed it, SEX. The Fratellis have a picture of a woman's shape lying on the ground next to an "F" (which is the band's SYMBOL, not "****", as I can only assume you were stupid enough to conclude) with her feet on the wall. Compare that to J.T.'s album. Then pull your head out of your *** and learn some consistency.
Jeez.
more british invasion
by kevin_indonesiathe fratellis is an example why the british invasion is still very much alive. like arctic monkeys, they are such a clever band. i mean this song has a very catchy part. and that's what its all about. i mean the brits are one of the most intelligent blokes in the planets when making song.
