great record. period......
by seansinatrareminds me of older wilco....which is a really great thing.......would like to hear him work with tweedy...if your a fan of kaizers orchestra, then you should definately check this out and also look into janove ottesens solo record. and micke the sweedes records....i think micke is playing piano on this release...salute mr. zahl....you have made a record that is sad and beautiful. If you ever come to texas i will be there......please tour wih the same band, they make a beautiful sounds together.....MORE PLEASE.
You NEED this!
by San-TropezHonestly, if you enjoy Americana and/or Country, you should really consider picking this album up. It's unbelievably different from Geir's work with Kaizers Orchestra, but that's what's so interesting about it. You can really hear the influence that Bruce Springsteen has had on his style, both lyrical and instrumental. The album has the more catchy tunes like "Oh Life" but it also dips into some personal situations (I'm guessing) with emotional songs like "I'll Try And Make You Cry," so there's really something in here if you like the faster, more upbeat songs or if you like the slower ones with a deeper meaning to them. And everyone enjoys a good guitar riff, and there's some nice guitar work in here, too. You should certainly purchase at least a couple songs and see if you like it from there because it is an excellent album.
