Album Review

A collection of hard rock tracks, Thunder Seven had its share of highlights. Its rare surprises include the competent radio single "Follow Your Heart," and "Killing Time," which sees guitarist Rik Emmett and drummer Gil Moore trading lead vocal lines for one of the first times ever.

Saw this tour in Houston in 84.As we were walking into the Summit from the parking garage a friend and my self were approached by about 8-10 cholos and were forced to depart with our tickets. Extremely upset we stood in line and bought two more tickets which were only $17.50. A lot of money for two high school juniors making only $4.00 an hour.Good thing it happened, we went from nose bleeds to 8 rows up probably 40' from the stage. One of the best bands I have ever seen and put on an excellent stage show with pyros and lasers. Rik Emmett is probably on of the best guitarist, and have seen many over the past 25 years.TRULY UNDERRATED

ROCK OUT! ROLL ON!

Perhaps the most underrated album of all time. Any fan of rock and roll as MUSIC, not just as noise, can appreciate this album. I know it's corny to say an album is the soundtrack of youth, but....

Collectively their best!

First time I heard Rik Emmett play, I was hooked. His style was like none I've ever heard. Blues, Jazz, Classical, Rock! Virtuoso! From Rock-n-Roll Machine to Thunder 7, we had a rock-n-roll journey from the three guys from Canada. This is their best collaboration by far. While Allied Forces, Just A Game, & Never Surrender may be the big ones we refer to when talking about Triumph, it is this album (yes I still say album) I would take with me on that island which I have to take 5 albums along. From the lyrics to the over all compositions themselves, this is the one that will stand the test of "Time" "Time" "Time". The flow of each song is the journey itself through time. Come along, step inside a Midsummer's Daydream, quit Killing Time, don't be a Stranger in a Strangeland and for God's sake just Cool Down and Follow Your Heart. I promise You'll be Spellbound for sure as Time Goes By!

Late-'70s/early-'80s prog metallists Triumph endured countless comparisons to Rush throughout their career, and with good reason; they were both quite similar musically and lyrically, comprised of three members each, and hailed from Canada (although it must be said that Rush was the originator, and were...
