Such a fun album.
by RRQI really have no idea why this band/album hasn't garnered more attention. I heard about them through covert curiosity and haven't been able to stop listening since. This album is great from front to back, there really isn't a bad song here. People all over iTunes are running around giving 5 Stars to anything and everything...unfortunately that leaves some really great music lost in the clutter. Never heard them live but hoping they'll make it to Austin eventually. I guarantee that if this album had a Pitchfork rating it would BLOW up...maybe they'll get to it now that the new Snoop album is out of the way?

by DeviantCoNathan Akin is an amazing composer, singer and song writer from New York. The songs for Brutal all written by Akin and recorded in his studio in Brooklyn are simply amazing. Influences include french composer Faure and Debussy, Terry Riley, Lightning Bolt, Joni Mithchell, Elliot Smith, Neu and Aphex Twin. When playing shows Nathan is joined by Tim Traynor, Jeremy Schoenherr-Lachance, David Sanderson, Catherine Herrick, and Lisa Baker. If your going to download one album this year, it should be this one!
