First heard of Captain D on the Awful show, loved the theme from the start, Jolly roger, Yo ho ho, sea Monsters and Dead Mines are reasons alone to grab this album.

Pirates meets Flight of the Conchords meets Tenacious D

To anybody who is first a fan of Pirates (Pirates in general or Pirates of the Caribbean) and likes Hip Hop (not Rap. big Diff.), this CD is a must buy. The CD brings all things that are fun about a Pirates, but sung with a serious tone as if Captain Dan and the crew were really sailing out there and stopped at port to lay down some tracks.

From there, the CD has a Flight of the Conchords and Tenacious D quality to it. Their fun, fast beat songs, although many are funny too, they dont come off as their suppose to be funny like Tenacious D but none the less are. This CD is also good for those who just wanna listen to some fun beats and lyrics and want to get away from every sony being so serious and want something more lighthearted, yet dont mistake any of this for lack of polish as the beats, timing, lyrics and all is fantastically put together.
