Great first effort with very strong guitar work
by mattnbeckyThis is a nice, tight first album that's easy to enjoy and shows a lot of promise for the future. Seth Adam's vocals are strong, the songwriting is fresh, the band is very good and the guitar work by lead axeman Gerry Giaimo is polished, versatile and really drives the tracks home.
Original and fun rock & roll!!
by lucyhenleySeth Adam’s new album, Where You Come From is original, thoughtful, fun and fresh rock and roll. The album is a great source for pop/rock, uplifting and catchy songs. There are also a few ballad-type songs mixed in. Seth Adam has a great voice for soulful, pop/rock and roll – after listening to the album, it’s not hard to compare him with contemporary artists like John Mayer, Ryan Adams and the like. The musicianship is also first rate – the band is equipped with a stellar lead guitar player, Gerry Giamo, who really brings something new and different to each track. Other members of the band who excel at their respective instruments include Fred DiLeone on keyboards, Lorin Pellegrino on bass guitar, and Anthony Bianco on drums. Where You Come From is not a one-time listen, you will be humming these songs for days and hunting down the lyrics so you can sing-a-long. I would definitely recommend this album and this band to anyone who is looking for some good, clean rock and roll – and if you’re on the East Coast, go check out a live show, they’re not to be missed!
Debut Album From a Band On The Rise
by ccsweetThis highly enjoyable debut album from Seth Adam, a New Haven CT based singer/songwriter, features several radio-friendly pop singles such as “I Think I Like It Better,” “Promise,” and “Get Out,” which establish Adam as a highly accomplished and melodic songwriter. His bandmates (Gerry Giaimo, Electric and acoustic guitars, harmony vocals; Lorin Pellegrino, Bass; Anthony Bianco, Drums; Fred DiLeone, Rhodes, Hammond and Wurlitzer) professionally complement his engaging pop gems, on which Adam neatly augments the standard guitar/bass/drums framework with atmospheric keyboards courtesy of the talented DiLeone. The band's secret weapon may be Gerry Giaimo, who veers from powerpop riffs to slash-and-burn Richard Lloyd lines with ease. This is a strong first set with several radiant peaks.
