Weird Cuts

by doyoutrustyourfriends

This is a really great recording, but it's really annoying that there's a minute of each song in the one that preceeds it. I ended up taking the entire ep, and recutting it in garageband. Other than the cuts, it's a must-have. Amy's vocals are amazing in Anthems.

Ruined by poor track editing

I'm a huge BSS fan. But I almost always put my music on shuffle. This EP sounds awesome listening straight through it, but terrible when on shuffle. I can't believe there's an entire MINUTE (or more) of each song that got stuck with the track previous to it. If you don't put your music on shuffle, this is a must-buy for BSS fans; but if you're like me, you'll just be left with a bad taste in your mouth.

Great recording.

But a few things first:

- Release date is wrong.
- Album description is incorrect. Actually, it's the same text used for the 2006 Bonnaroo EP (which isn't entirely accurate, either).
- Track times are not quite right. The last minute or so of each song is the next song in the set... not a big deal.

But yeah, this recording is much better than the other EP. I've seen Broken Social Scene three times, and I can say that this is much closer to their excellent shows.
