iTunes Review

This Los Angeles based electro-pop duo — musician-actress Leisha Hailey who appeared on Showtime’s The L Word and performed with the Murmurs, and singer-producer-musician Camila Grey, once a member of the lo-fi group Mellowdrone — perform ear-catching confections that never lose the song in all their glitzy hues. After a successful 2007 EP with I See Red, the duo, named after the 2004 PJ Harvey album, holed up in the studio for their full-length 2008 debut, Common Reaction, an album that expands on their initial, dancefloor appeal with greater keyboard textures and a swath of vocal patches that enliven and haunt these smooth-rolling tracks. The title track is thick with an urban, excited atmosphere and a shameless pop grace. The guitars pushing “Say So,” the album’s first single, and the indie-rock flavored “Everyone,” channel the aggressive pulse of ‘80s new wave without slavishly surrendering to the era.  “Covered” builds from a few spare keyboard notes into an intricate weave of pulsing basslines and compulsive dancebeats. For all their trendy sounds, Uh Huh Her deliver a substantial, sustainable wallop.

Indie Pop at its best.

Common Reaction has been on repeat in my iTunes ever since I first got the CD. It's that good.
All the songs are great, and feature that electronica/pop feel of their EP "I See Red".
If you enjoyed the EP, you will definitely like the album. Cam's voice is spectacular, and the harmonies are amazing.
Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey have made a great album.

Check out, definitely:
Explode, Wait Another Day, Common Reaction, Covered, So Long and Dance With Me. Oh and the single, "Not a Love Song" too.

Finally It's Here!!!

I LOVE UH HUH HER! And no NOT just because of a certain phenomenal actress that happens to be in it. Uh Huh Her has a really unique sound that I've never heard anywhere else. This is the sort of music that makes you want to listen many many times, just so you can come to your own conclusion about what each song means. Also the great singing, drum beats and guitar doesn’t hurt!!!
So buy this and give them a listen.
UHH is certainly the best up and coming band around!!!
Check out their music video featuring a mini unicorn!

Biography

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '00s

Perhaps best known in the role of Alice Pieszecki on Showtime's The L Word, Leisha Hailey was also the woman behind Uh Huh Her, an electro-pop duo that made some waves on the indie circuit following the release of their debut album in 2007. Hailey, formerly of the jangly, Indigo Girls-esque duo the Murmurs, decided to make a return to the music biz following a five year break; she was subsequently introduced to Mellowdrone bassist and keyboardist Camila Grey in early 2007 and the pair hit it off....
