Listen to this band

by JJWII

There are no better musicians in the Funk/Rock world. Magically they go from seeming chaos to precise horn riffs all backed by driving funky bass and pushed by snare and cymbal. Johnny Sketch is a master on guitar and the perfect charismatic front man. Why hasn't this band taken off?

Simply the Finest in Funk Rock, captured LIVE

by digital monkey

Like most music from New Orleans, the Sketchy Sound is nearly impossible to classify. It's Funk Rock in the best New Orleans tradition, with the addition of a variety of Modern Rock influences.

Sometimes when listening you will be reminded of one band, other times another. Think Camper Van Beethoven meets Blues Traveler meets Sublime meets The Tower of Power horns meets The Neville Brothers and The Radiators.

Listen to their albums, and make sure to see them play live if you can. I DARE you to try not to dance!

Funk of the highest order!!

by Cajun1

This is the nastiest and dirtiest funk of the highest order and if you listen to this and don't think so, well........MTV will have something more to your liking. In fact if you don't like this, maybe you should go get some new gold or bling, forgot you ever listened to this and go herd yourself among the other sheep.
