Revolutionary, Euphoric, Epic and Most Triumphant!
by codyssiusAmmi. Not just a band, but a state of mind. Four humans...nay, gods. The chemistry created by these scientists of sound, is like nothing that humankind has ever experienced in the aural realm. From the introductory swell and blurps of "Easy Listening" to the concluding epitaph of "The Nature of Apathy" Laodicea captures your heart, your soul, your mind and your brain all at once. Kriss Kuss' thunderous, yet timely and at times reserved percussion serves as the perfect backdrop for Nate Gas' intricate and eclectic noodling and Marcus Anderson's funkier than thou bass licks. And let us not forget Phil Vickers' commanding, yet vulnerable, yet sexy diatribes on the struggles of mankind. I highly recommend this divine piece of art. Once you've tasted the Ammi, you will long for it. You will kill for it and oh yes, even die for it.
