Album Review

Breaking away from Savoy Brown to form this band, the members of Foghat knew from the start what sort of record they wanted to make. With heavy emphasis on the hard boogie, Foghat got down to work with the help of Dave Edmunds and crafted a hard rock gem. Covering Chuck Berry's "Maybellene," they goosed the beat up until it was almost a precursor of the heavy metal yet to come. Interspersing covers with original material, they immediately found a place for themselves in the rock world.

Foghat's First Album

This is what the band was all about, they were forced to sell out the style that made them famous
by the time fool for the city came out.

this album is the first of three classic Rock and Roll album Foghat made in a row
'the Foghat Album'', 'Rock and Roll' and 'Energized' . All three reflect the boldness of the youth of the earily seventies.
If you want to know what was cool and hip and not pop in 1973-77, This album and the other two
are a must listen.
get a black light and some good smoke and enjoy .

Not a bad song on here.
