Sanctus Real's best
by neverstoprunningI loved this song since the first time I heard it. Sanctus Real broke--shattered--the ice of inauthenticity that encases too much of contemporary Christianity. But, what's amazing, this song isn't even about Christianity. Sanctus Real just opens and pours out their soul. Musically, the song rocks hard and lyrically, even harder. The pounding guitars in "I'm Not Alright" drive the desperate vocals to an emotional, spiritual climax, and I think that intensity is why the song instantly connected with so many young people and people searching for honesty: it qualified human weakness in a tough-guy age. Again, I love the song to the core.
