To call this collection of 24 songs a 'Best of' is not quite true - it's a compilation of 20 years of songs by the Pop Machine collective and circle of friends - spanning early proto grunge from their Syracuse University beginnings, to the Motion Picture Soundtrack cut 'Skateboard Phreak', this group of songs just scratches the tip of the iceberg for the band's prodigious output.

If you like the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, Neil Innes, or Dread Zeppilin, you'll have a good idea of where these guys spend their time creatively.

Some standout tracks - the Dr. Demento selection - 'Trapped in an Elevator with a Mime'
a cut from their live video 'Get off of My Foot' , and their hit 'Corporate Heavy Metal' with Osmium frontman John Wall is the classic in the vein of Spinal Tap. Is it a parody if the song is actually good on its own merit?

I have most of the early releases for the band, including many of their annual Christmas music contortions... and this will give the casual listener a good start on the history of the band of the 80's 90's and today.
