Heirs Farewell.

by Cait from the Heights

Growing off their former name With Rescue Breathing, Heirs has proven to be one of those local bands that rises to success. Their songs don't fit one particular genre, and neither do their individual personalities. You get the same emotion from listening to their CD as you can from watching them live. Unfortunately they have announced the band is splitting up. But, Heirs will always have a place in our hearts and theirs.

Unlike anything else

Heirs combines almost every music genre. Every song is different from the rest, if you buy one song you are gonna end up getting the rest.

One great recording

Heirs has a sound that is bursting with goodness when it plays live, but this recording really cements the group's talent. Lead singer Chad Nicefield shows on "A Little Too Hot" why this band deserves bigger success. The more pop-driven "This Is a Product" proves to be one of those tunes you just can't stop listening to in your car. "Our Bodies and the Ocean," in the end, is a surprise burst of goodness from a band that certainly could hold its own on the mainstream market.
