Quirky/catchy yet oh so satisfying

I've followed DPC since they played shows in basements in Madison and I have to say this is best record to date. The changes in the songs are so interesting, that the band keeps you guessing where they're going to go. Nate's changes between drum beats seem almost effortless while being complex and complicated. The sound quality on the guitars has gone up since Janel as well. There simply are so many words being sung in the verses, though, that it might take a little extra effort to get through. The shout choruses though will have you singing at the top of you lungs with words like, "All the doctors and the architects wash their hands!" and "You've been trained to...I've been trained too!" Sometimes they don't need lyrics to catch you with "Da da da" choruses in tracks like Mountains and Ruins and Carry a Torch. I highly recommend this album for any indie rockers out there.
