Best Download of 2007

I recently stumbled upon this album even though I have been aware of Andrew Osenga for a long while. Souvenirs and Postcards blew me away. Andrew intimately weaves tales of heartache and hope. The album is stark for sure, relying mostly on Andrew's voice and acoustic guitar (my bread and butter music). However, I dare say the story telling genius of this album would win most anyone despite musical preference. Even though this album was released a while back it is easily the best download of 2007 for me!

Incredible.

A five star album is hard to come by, yet I would consider 'Souvenirs & Postcards' as one of those few five star albums I've come across.
Andrew has always had the ability to write intimate, soothing and incredibly honest songs that recreate his story so vividly in the mind of the listener and this album is a collection of his best work.
I highly recommend this album.

Intimate,acoustic, masterpiece!

I have been a fan of Andrew Osenga since his days in the now defunct band "The Normals". When he struck out on his own and released his first solo effort "Photographs", I was struck by his ability to weave a tale that really painted intimate pictures with melodies that seemed to completely complement the lyrics. When this CD came out, I was equally struck by the display of Andrew's heart through the songs. The same intimate painted pictures, but stripped down to just guitar and voice. This only enhanced his ability to tell a story through music. I am not sure if he really considers himself a singer/songwriter, however this collection of songs proves that not only is he one, but he is one of the best around! The first time I heard "If I Had Wings" I was absolutely blown away by the duet and small solo part by his friend Steven Delopoulos (Former frontman for Burlap to Cashmere). If you haven't yet bought any of Andrew's CD's, this would be the perfect one to start with.
