I Agree this is a pitiful state of affairs. I don't know who is to blame, iTunes or the family. Frank put great effort into the audio quality of his recordings. For those who have the ears, you know that buying a CD from the store or the family will give you better sound quality. Snail mail? C'mon you can delay your gratification, it's worth it! Let the parties involved work things out in their own time. When all is said and done, Frank's work is too important musically, socially, politically and comedically to not be available to the masses here on iTunes. Remember though that Frank always fought for what was ethical in his chosen occupation as composer/musician/entertainer. Often choosing to go the difficult road rather than giving in to corporate pressures and less than scrupulous business arrangements. So this whole issue is nothing new, if you were around when Frank was, you know he dealt with these issues daily. Good Luck to all in getting hold of this iconoclasts body of work, the way he intended it to be heard.
