Album Review
Breach fits squarely within the parameters of the thriller score but manages to sidestep its most tired clichés — Mychael Danna largely eschews de rigueur electronic rhythms and textures in favor of simple piano melodies, sinister strings, and atmospheric woodwinds that nevertheless convey the necessary tension. In fact, Danna's minimalist, Philip Glass-inspired approach derives suspense from the absence of familiar genre tropes — its cerebral intensity keeps the listener off balance even once the unexpected becomes expected.

i HATE 'Album Only'

I only wanted to buy 'Dangerous World' and spend $0.99 but I have to spend $9.99 instead for a bunch of songs THAT I DIDN'T EVEN WANT! I'll admit that this soundtrack is excellent, and that all of the songs are beautifully written and very intricate, but I'm still really really mad.
This is a great soundtrack, and I'd highly reccomend it, but I wish that one could buy only the songs they want.
Breach: Well worth your money!
by _JonThe score to Breach is one of those albums that one can simply put on in the background and lose oneself in. It is littered with dark and menacing strings that usually undertone a somber melody being played on the piano or another pitched percussion instrument. There is simply no way to explain the sheer feeling of sadness that one experiences when listening to some of the tracks. This is surely emotionally raw music not for someone who is looking for an upbeat song in a major key, in fact, there isn't a track on this album that isn't in the minor key. If you do not want the whole album simply purchase "Dangerous World," "The Arrest," and "The Why Doesn't Mean a Thing" as these are the three tracks on the CD that I can honestly say that everyone will, or at least should, take a liking to.
Really Good Music
by kmp102693I thought the music was amazing! A very good soundtrack with mystery at every second. Its shame ITunes won't sell the songs separately. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of ITunes?
