This is that powerful music
by mikej609High Priest has been slept on for far too long. Since the first APC album I've been waiting for him to drop a solo album - M Sayyid and Beans are alright, but they don't speak to me like HP. All three of those guys push limits, but HP stays grounded in soul, in what makes hip-hop unique and not just some avant-garde poetry slam. He's creative but it's always rooted in that smooth flow that just sounds so nice. It's the perfect balance of musicality and ideas. This is hip-hop elevated beyond commercialism to true art. Keep it coming.
