Album Review
After rejecting an original score commissioned from avant-garde composer Philip Glass, The Reaping's producers opted for a far safer choice in horror veteran John Frizzell, and while safety and predictability would seem antithetical to the horror genre, Frizzell nevertheless turns in a score aptly suited to the film's apocalyptic subject matter, assembling familiar orchestral, choral, and electronic elements to a create a densely foreboding soundscape. By and large Frizzell shies away from shrieking strings and wailing brass in favor of richly textured sound design that underlines the sinister otherness so essential to the genre, even when more traditional symphonic components are prominent, it's the synthesizers and samples that capture the imagination.

Wow! I'm Speechless.
by JohnnyBoi666This Soundtrack, unlike most horror soundtracks has a good use of notes, strings, and timing. I, as a professional music & film producer, am surprized.

by mathman1this album is one of the best albums made! just like the movie was one of the best horror movies made! if anyone give bad review thats bad because if they have nothing good to say/type then they shouldn't say/type it at all. you discide 1 star, 5 stars or somewhere in the middle if you have a good review and you want to type it then do so but if the review and the rating are bad then you might aswell not review and rate it at all!
