iTunes Review

When was the last time a record really freaked you out, as in an auditory acid trip without the acid? Can’t remember? That’s fine; because you’ll have a hard time forgetting Dandelion Gum once it burrows its way into your subconscious, treating the poor little bugger like the host of some psychedelic parasite. Not just any psychedelic parasite, either. Try one that speaks through Air-y (the downtempo duo, not the stuff we breathe) analog installations and incoherent, yet incredibly lucid, paranoid android poetry. Flower power phrases like “We miss you in the summertime” and “I love the sunlight/You love the flowers,” all delivered in a disembodied monotone Daft Punk would appreciate. With band member names like Tobacco and Father Hummingbird, you’d think this was a harmless, imaginary soundtrack to Fraggle Rock: The Feature Film or something. Only it’s something much more sinister — something we’ll let you figure out once you’re caught up in a funnel cloud somewhere between Nico’s Chelsea Girl and Air’s Moon Safari.

I was fooling around with my then new iphone. I was bored, it sounded interesting at the time, I downloaded it, listened to it intently more than a few times, now I'm almost ready to delete it. The only thing that stopped me was that I never was able to get through the whole album because the sound was just too annoying and every track started to sound the same, but I didn't want to uncheck this whole album from my library because after a last effort I finally found one good song. Ironically it's the last song and it's "untitled".

This album is so amazing from start to finish! not one bad song! If you don't have any of their stuff i suggest u get this first it is absolutely incredible. I think start a people is better just because it includes smile heavy, rasberry dawn, count backwards to black, and vietcaterpillar. Although that has more great songs, untitled roadside demo is the best thing of theirs i've heard. Get this album immidiately

Solid
