Taxpayer delivers yet again
by boston nativeThese guys are amazing and even better live. The few songs on this album are only a hint at what they deliver. Check out moving parts. Extremely addictive.
Awesome as usual!
by TheFPKJust attended the CD release party the other day (on a Boston Harbor cruise, no less). Unfortunately, I had to wait until the ride home to get to hear all the Dear Leader songs. Aarron and Co only played Everyone Looks Better in the Dark live. Still, I can't complain. They rocked the boat and the new EP is excellent! As usual, the feel is different than what has come before. Dear Leader keeps evolving. And, as another reviewer pointed out, Taxpayer keeps getting better and better. Overall, both bands could not be a nice, humbler group of guys. And boy are they talented!
Favorites? Battlescars (nice tip of the hat to that freak Eccentric from American Idol last year), Everyone Looks Better in the Dark, Settle Down Ghost, Moving Parts.
Please note, as well, that the first four songs are Dear Leader and the last four are Taxpayer, as the setup here is a litte confusing. Both of these bands desrve your dollars and your love and respect!
Great EP!!
by jszafarskiAaron Perrino with Dear Leader is solid once again and proves that he is one of the few true artists left in the industry. If you have never listened to them, Paul Buckley the drummer is what takes this band from great to really great. Taxpayer is an amazing group and each new song sounds better than the last. I could not ask for a better pairing on a duel EP.
