80's, sweetness, & james mcavoy :)
by muchlove4musicloved this soundtrack, loved this movie. this is an adorable film, set in the mid 80's with a lovely leading man (james mcavoy). the cure and tears for fears are an awesome fit for the story of the film. it is such a sweet story about falling in love, trying to fit in, and loving who you are, making mistakes, and getting back up again. i wish more people knew about this movie, that it could get the attention and adoration it deserves!
Authentic soundtrack selection
by Felipe DelgadoGreat essence of the 80's and some very top material included. The Smiths & The Cure for many sum up the 80's and what a great way to do it.... The movie's good too but the music soundtrack does stand credibly on its own. It's a Brit-based film setting but still surprised that no US selections (eg Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads) in as they were being widely played in Britain at the time. Other Brit bands that could sit beside these selections are Teardrop Explodes, Stranglers, Magazine.
Great soundtrack and plenty of scope for a Volume 2 .......
