why haven't more people commented? one of the best albums of 2008 on terms of staying power and listenability. buy it if you don't own it. great range, appealing but not boring.

different and awesome

mood swings is definitely a lot different than their first album, and what i love about it is that it doesn't have that sophomore album syndrome (where it doesn't even match up to the first)

it's definitely a step forward for them, adding different elements to their sound and changing things up a bit, especially with their lyrics and the albums theme.
the great thing about it is, its still catchy and something you'll always love to listen to.
favorite tracks: 'we will break our own hearts' and 'on the line'

i love both albums and definitely recommend them

MUCH better than the first album - And the first one is FANTASTIC!!!

I love the first Small Sins album - It's great, new-wavey, sythy, indie-pop/rock fun - But there are repetitive elements to it. Mood Swings is SO much more diverse/mature/adventurous... But you still know exactly who you're listening to when you hear any one of these tracks. I can't recommend this enough if you're at all into that indie-pop/rock sound.
