Simply Wonderful
by Eclipse AustinTonight Robert Harris was the opening to #1 on the charts Sax player Jackiem Joyner at Jazz Jams Uptown presented by WLOQ. I was simply amazed by the wonderful talent of Mr. Harris. This band really is superior in all ways. To certain extents they were better than the headliner. Variation of songs was also really great with Robert Harris! The group performed different songs that really did not have the same anything as the previous. It is like reading a book and you think you know what happens and suddenly it changes. What i mean by this is that today many songs sound similar and all of Robert Harris's were completely different and more interesting. A great show. A great artist.

The Robert Harris Group is one of busiest performing jazz and R&B bands in the Sunshine state. CITY LIGHTS is the second recording for Robert and a sure fire, in the pocket, contemporary jazz success with seven new originals and three, cool cover tunes including Gino Vanelli’s “I Just Want To Stop.” You may recall Robert’s exceptional debut COOL BREEZE in 2004, which is still being featured on SmoothJazz.com Radio. Once again, the artist captures the very essence of Smooth Jazz with feel good melodies and articulate playing, while the title of the project is a perfect fit for these ten sophisticated, stylish songs. From the fashionable first track “Monaco,” and the urbane title track to the current radio single “Steppin Out” CITY LIGHTS is a welcome addition to 2008’s Smooth Jazz playlist!
