The bliss and joy of surrender has now become an eternal torture. With the promise, "swim to me," Shea Breaux Wells entertains the hope, the possibility, and the dream lingers. Abandoned yet saved with each chord, each breathe, so perfectly timed with the agony, the journey. Tears fall and there she is. The fire simmers and I guarantee that this artist will touch your heart. You must listen to it and share your thoughts. This album is a definite "buy" for me. Thank you Ms. Shea!
Gorgeous Tapestry
by soledad0000Beautiful songs and arrangements, all spun together into a gorgeous tapestry. Each song is stand-alone perfection and unexpected. Shea Breaux Wells has tremendous range and can navigate the many styles featured on this fabulous collection. Impeccable instrumentals. "Song to the Siren" a personal favorite for one prone to pining away. "Caravan" mesmerizes. Wells is on to something. I love this album!

Her voice and interpretations soar, her rich, multilayered voice performing standards with confidence. The musicians, long-time jazz performers George Cables, Cecil McBee, Billy Hart, Craig Handy and David Weiss, solo with intensity and complexity and Shea rises to their experienced level. It's a wonderful music experience, starting with a provocative "Baltimore Oriole." A new, wonderful talent!
