iTunes Review

At the time of its release (2008), the original motion picture soundtrack to Sex And The City also happens to be a pretty accurate soundtrack to The Big Apple itself. Anyone in New York City at this time can attest to hearing Fergie pipe out of every mall, restaurant, boutique, club and bar; so it makes sense to start the soundtrack with her electro-freaked reworking of the show's theme song. And who cares if the hip young folks in Brooklyn bars are listening to Morningwood's "New York Girls" out of irony, guilty pleasure, or just because it's a damn cool song? It had to show up here with that snarling guitar. If The Bee Gees don't remind you of New York, consider revisiting >Saturday Night Fever because The Bird & The Bee's version of "How Deep Is Your Love" almost rivals the original, as does Al Green and Joss Stone's sultry and soulful cover of "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart." Many of the other songs here lean hard on heavy house beats like the runway-walking groove of Jem's "It's Amazing" or Madison Park and Lenny B.'s remix of Nina Simone's classic take on "The Look Of Love."

you will be disapointed. The only good songs are jennifer hudsons, the bird and the bees version of how deep is your love, the auld lang sang song, and india arie's heart of the matter, which is beautiful. oh and of course, the
main theme song. but I absoutely HATED joss stone ooh and ahhing over all green's beautiful voice in "how do you
mend a broken heart". It actually broke MY heart. oh and fergies song- forgetaboutit. Please spend your well earned money else where.
