the name of Said the Whale was randomly mentioned to me and i checked it out because i dig the name. now i only wish i'd heard of them sooner. Said the Whale has incredible talent and the moment i heard them they became my all time favorite band. my favorite song is Howe Sounds, i have literally listened to it for over 24 hours straight, i can not get enough of its perfection. sensational job Said the Whale, keep it up :D

Gazpacho??

For fans of Said the Whale....you may want to try out the indie/prog group from Europe called Gazpacho. The lead singers sound almost identical and even the music is similiar. If you want more Whale try some Gazpacho. You can find them right here on iTunes. If anything you just have to hear how similiar the voice sound! I recommend the Night album, but all of it is good. My wife heard the Whale on XMU and said you have to hear how much they sound like Gazpacho which is one of the only quasi-prog group she likes. Usually when someone says that a band sounds like another band you can sorta hear it if you listen hard, but in this case it is eerie.

The best

This is easily one of the best albums I have heard in the last decade, couldn't recommend it highly enough. They've got the lyrics, the vocals, the harmony; They've got it all. To quote the band itself, they're "nautical indie rock goodness" and I could not be happier with it. They also have a few EPs on their website, I believe. Check them out, they're free :D
