Nice Album artwork

The latest singles by the Cure are cool but so is the cover artwork. I found a band on iTunes similar in style to the Cure, called 'Bandgard', they rock as well.

Nearly Funky With A Nice Edge

by John Harlow

This song moves with an uptempo bounce; it's one of the funkier tunes the group has ever done. For the life of me, while it's obviously a Cure song, it's hard to compare it to a past one it an effort to say "It sounds like ..." But that's not a bad thing, by any means. There's some nice guitar work here that almost gives the tune a spikiness we haven't seen from the Cure in many years. I suspect fans of uptempo, guitar dominated indie rock will like this selection. Ipod worthy.

Cure fan since '86 and this very much brings to mind "The Head On The Door" for me...pure pop bliss ala "A Man Inside My Mouth" which is the INSANE side of the band that has been missing ever since that album or "Kiss Me". Hahahaha
Maybe Robert is doing drugs again- whatever it is, I really like this and it's b-side too! Can't wait to hear the new album!
