by irock2121you can get the songs just not on the kit kitteredge sound track first get to the kit kitteredge sound track and right next to the "album only" there will be arrows thoose arrows will lead you to the album and you can get it there.I hope this helps!!!
A Great Album and Greater Jumping Off Point
by LengoI don't own this yet. I'm overbudget for buying music this month, but this album is first on my list for next month. Gotta have it! Just look at these tracks, many of which come from the early 20th century. This one's gonna be fun! Can't wait to see the film!
And listen to these artists! Wow! What a jumping off point to go discover artists you are not familiar with. Go check out Renee Olstead, Bridgett Bryant, the Puppini Sisters, and Joseph Vitarelli! Holy smokes! These artists WROCK!
Dang! If I were a rich man, I'd buy this album and all the albums that are found when you link to an artist found on this one! This one's a winner!
Soundtrack Leads to Fantastic Movie
by southphillymikeWith the combination of jazz and the "old" mood this album casts, the listner really does venture back into the times of depressions and we think of now and the depression in progress. If you have seen the film, the soundtrack fits perfectly, the mood is easily established and the movie is so powerful. We see how a middle class family dwindles down to the hobo life however, they make the best of it instead of complaining. Not only does this story accurately portray history but also tells a wonderful story. Especially with the current economy this movie gives the sense that we are going to get through these hard times. Some of the songs bring out the best in life and inspire Americans that we can withstand a financial crisis. It is the perfect film and soundtrack for current times seeing the economy and jobs being cut everyday.
