It's just bad. Really bad. It goes to show you how anybody with money can get a record made.

reading all of these horrible reviews, i was really scared to purchase this album. I mean, in this economy who has 6bux to waste?!
then again, whats 6 bux if you love it right? so i bought it and totally loved it!!! It's DEFINETLY not traditional. she's no etta james, but the point is that she doesn't seem to be trying to be. this album is honest, unguarded, deep(literally, i love that she doesnt sing like a pre-teen bottled pop star) and best of all this album is lurkingly full of beautiful imagry. seriously, what's 6 bux, you could love it!
and one last thing-if she wasn't who she is, i dont think people would hate it so much. if this was some "cool, indie band" people would be all over it and bragging that they found it first.

Oh Scarlett

It takes a great deal of work to become a great musician. I think we live in a society that glorifies and overly minimizes the process to be an over produced and easy task. In reality, every great musician put in a huge deal of effort and time and it's really not something you become great at over night.

Scarlett doesn't have to be judged as harshly as everyone is judging her. She has the capacity to do great and I think this album shows her deep potential. I think these recordings are proof that it takes more than great producers, but also that great producers can do magical things. I believe that she can sing, and very well, she has a future in Singing if she wants it.

I would have personally told her to sing in a more realistic key if she was going to try to gain popularity but if she wants to sound the way she does than she will have to expect the kind of response she got. PT Barnum said "Give the people what they want" and I just think this is a little too esoteric for the general public and for her fans of her acting career.

I think the majority of people who hate this album, do not have the skills nesscary judge music. Seeing as though they glorify untalented pop stars like Britney Spears
