Cool Song; Good Cause
by NarasuThis title song to the documentary Justicia Now shows you what a good electronic remix can do so well. It accents what's rich about a genre of music, in this case Latin fusion. The melancholy of the opening keyboards is layered with crisp rhythms and piercing Spanish-language vocals.
The song well represents its film, which recounts the ongoing legal struggle between the people of Northern Ecuador and ChevronTexaco, which created such a toxic problem as to cause death and illness among the area's inhabitants. So whether you buy the song to support the cause or to have something intense to listen to on a solitary drive home, it's worth the effort.
A hauntingly hypnotic musical experience.
