Album Review
The original version of Futurama was a little weak on songwriting content, though long on virtuoso music passages. This expanded reissue is a partial improvement, though not because it addresses those problems; rather, it's just got more of something different, in this case the more commercial (and quite beautiful) single version of "Between the Worlds," plus a scintillating live version of "Maid in Heaven," and the achingly lyrical "Speed of the Wind" — the latter shows off the more reflective side of this band and progressive rock in general, of a piece with King Crimson's "Book of Saturday," and emphasizing their gentler approach to singing and playing. The sound throughout is excellent, and the annotation is reasonably thorough as well.

You will love it!
by arizonaspiritBill Nelson's guitar is all over this record. At times tasteful, at times searing. This songs appear to have been written on another planet because they were surely not inspired by anything as mundane as this life. The first 30 seconds of Swan Song comprise the best and grandest intro ever to a rock tune and the only thing better is it gets repeated at the last 1:30 of the song..if you don't dig it you have no pulse!
an all time favorite
by JWC89Be-Bop Deluxe has been a favorite of mine ever since Futurarama came out,saw them open for Blue Oyster Cult in 1978. Bill Nelson is a pure genius,a very underatted guitarist,in my mind one of the best, listen to Sister Seagull. I have turned many people on to Be-Bop Deluxe,Love with the madman is my favorite.Very Awesome!!!!!!
WOW! The music on this album makes my head spin
by sfh204It's as if the Beatles and Boston got together and experimented with opium in 1975, and had fantastic musical results together.
