Album Review
Much more punky than the Cthulhu Strikes Back album, this one also showcases the Thickets weird and dark sense of humor. The music does get quite high energy and creative in its waves of sound at times. The disc really does cover a good amount of musical ground, with the far edges of the envelope ranging from a great acoustic version of "Diggin' the World" to a unique cover of the Police's "Walking on the Moon."

Help! The Darketest of the Hillside Thickets Ate My Brain!
by TySohoI first heard these guys at Dragon*Con in Atlanta back in '96 or '97. I picked up Great Old Ones after their show there and listened to it on the way home from the convention over and over and over and...well you get the picture, now give me back my brain!!!
Oh by the way, the most dangerous songs on this album are Tarred and Feathered, Jimmy the Squid, Big Robot Dinosaur ("Father, oh Father, let's kill some people!" That line still cracks me up :O), Walking On the Moon (Outstanding cover of the Police song), and my favorite...Burrow Your Way to My Heart!
Cthulu-themed horror punk meets powerpop
by j.h.w.Thickets are a great punk band from Chiliwack, BC, Canada. They play a hardcore laced with poppy melodies style of music with dark, sometimes humorous, lyrics. Colour Me Green, A Thousand Fists, and Diggin' Up the World are some the tracks you should but if you are not sure you want to pay for each song. If you like those, you'll love the rest.

by A Thousand FistsThere is a lot of bass guitar here. The lyrics are not the happiest thats for sure, they are dark, along with the guitar sounds. But this is some great rock, personally the best song they have out of all their songs is A Thousand Fists, maybe the most awesome rock song i've ever heard, I recommend you listen to these songs, it's some awesome stuff.
