Album Review
Traci Lords' first album is a competent exercise in techno, not dance-pop. Throughout 1000 Fires the beat takes the center stage, with most of the tracks featured just a handful of hooks and thread-bare melodies. Not that Lords could handle strong melodies — her voice is thin and doesn't have much range. However, she does have a forceful and distinctive personality, which gives the record a cohesive sound.

Surprisingly Great Album!
by BossTeed74If you like techno or electronica, this is one of the best albums you will ever own. I lost my copy years ago and went through hell and back trying to find another one, so its also a difficult find. You really should just buy it on itunes to guarantee you get the version of control with lyrics. Also check out "Fly" (one of my favorite all-time songs), "Okey Dokey," and "Good-n-Evil"!!!!
A headphone favorite
by precorThis album was pretty well produced back in its day (wow almost 15 years now). Some good electronica and catchy hooks. Can't believe how much I ended up liking this.

by LA Woman 1313I have LOVED this album since the day Ms. Lords released it ! She is not only proven to be talented in the "Movie World", but in the "Music World" as well. I really hope she releases a sequel to this album, I recommend it HIGHLY ! Go ahead & buy it, you will NOT be dissapointed !
