The Best
by Spence A.These guys are amazing. I love this album. I've seen Taxpayer perform in NYC and Boston, and they really are great. They're absolutely the best of everything that's out there - in fact, I think they're better (as far as this genre of music goes). Strong, moving lyrics, and such great musicianship. Plus, they're a great-looking group of guys, so they're right on the cusp of something amazing. Take a listen, and say you "knew them when"!
Very impressive
by sox4gleasBeing from Boston (where these guys are from), I heard "When they were young" on a local alt-rock station. I then listened to the clips on iTunes and was very impressed. I didn't have an iPod at the time (sorry Apple), so I went out to a local record store and found it (for $7.99 - saved two bucks). Other than "In my final year," I love every song and listen to this as often as any recent major label CD I have bought (for example, latest from Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol, and Keane, as well as The Editors). Get it. It's great. And check out Damone as well for some good Boston indie rock.
