It's only Rock and Roll... but we LIKE it!

This is a project with melody, emotion, drive, and a modern edge.
”The Big Empty” starts out on an raw energetic motion that immediately sets the tone for the next 40 or so minutes of your life. With vocals full of personality and infectious guitars.
Next up a laid back acoustic ”Give It A Name”. It drags the listener into the chorus with the "hook". (Get used to it cus this won't be the last time you hear it on this CD.) The roots rocking lead guitars bleed with the complexity of simplicity.
“Insect” is an enigma. It's mellow. It's accessible. But then it's obnoxious and haunting and edging under your very skin ... A standout track on an album full of standouts.
Then intimacy… “My LiTtLE DiSeASe” . Singers sing and vocalists vocalize but sometimes artists actually wrap their personality into a melody line and show you the words in color with their tone, delivery and emotion. This is one of those times.
Continuing… “Blown” works the roots of what drove the greatest talents of rock and roll with some well panned clean guitar lines, simple groove, expressive lyrics and a vocal delivery designed to bring you down to a slow burn the song eats at your brain like a drug!. Think Lennon and Bowie… not a clone, but their trademark mutated style.
A song stripped down to its very core can be beautiful. ”Do What You Will” is such a song. It works and moves. It's pure.
”Something And Nothing” works the more modern edges. Try to listen just once to this song … it’s harder than quitting smoking!
With a bit more driving attitude, ”Surf The Sky” takes over the body so as to give the mind and the ear a bit of a break.
If it's intellectual lyrics you are into - ”7Static”, a journey into a more surreal sonic territory, uses metaphor to drive home a basic modern theme that is problematic in the overall fabric of our society. Emotional perfection is nearly hidden in the simple driving attitude. Almost.
Ok, it's not often that a song can feel so familiar and so foreign all in the same breath. ”Mongrel” touches on a beat and rhythm that simply just reaches out and grabs you and pulls you into it's very core while giving you the comfort of knowing that you are stuck in a pure and simple roots rock vibe. That pretty much just translates to ... COOL.
Just when one might think that the bases have been covered, ”Ouranophobia” comes along and shows a spiritual side. Fueled by a simple acoustic strum and riff, the song treads on original ground that appeals to the very soul of the listener
”No Excuses”, beyond the imagination of a person lies the surreal and in this song you will find your soul.
For those who want substance and style in their rock and roll, this CD is for you. For those who want the very roots of rock and roll, this CD is for you. For those who want these things to be coupled with a modern edge, this CD is for you. For those who don't know what they want, this CD is for you. For those that don't want any of these things - this CD is for you too, cus even if it ain't your exact cup of tea, it will drag you in and make it worth your while. Unless of course, you are more into the sounds of dog's howling and train's wrecking ...
