Good Time Girl
by MixMasterMooseI saw Kate open up for local Sacramento Hero Jackie Greene at the Empire Club in Sac a few months ago. Great show. She has alot of energy. Her voice is sexy and her lyrics are heart felt. She sounds like a combo of Natalie Mercent & Joan Biaze. Her band compliments her well. This is modern day hippie music. For the most part I have a hard time relating to female artists. With The New Then this is not the case. This is a strong recording. Every song flows into the next. I love the line from Tired Wired (lay my head in a gypsy tent after all my money's spent) If you like going to camping music fests you can relate to this charming album. Waves of today is my favorite song on here. Kate is working on a new album as we speak. Her major label first. It should be out this summer. Check her out, you won't regret it.
