Album Review
Second Nature, Kat Eggleston's debut release for Waterbug records, presents a more stripped-down, laid back folk vision than her first album, First Warm Wind. The feeling is intimate and spare, letting Eggleston's clear voice and chiming guitar take center stage. "Home" and "My Father's Garden" reveal the contemplative soul of the album, while sultry piano touches on "Trouble" and "Fury," a harrowing tale of sexual abuse, add to Second Nature's depth and range.
