BUY THIS NOW: An Unknown Treasure
by hesheyThis album is a triumph of contemporary folk. I met the artist in person multiple time at Faneuil Hall in Boston, where she plays on the street. Had she been active forty years ago when folk rock was at its peak popularity, she would be in a very different place right now. Her voice is sweet, but also possesses depth and haunting intensity. Political anthems such as "Blame" and "Earthen" are delivered with conviction and sound fantastic, and "Butterfly" has classic folk introspection, and is very good. "wildflower" is hypnotic and percussive. This song is one of the greatest folk songs, EVER. It's lyrics are poetry, and it's rythym and melody are sublime. Buy this, every track deserves to be on an ipod.
