This is one of favorite albums of all time, once you hear the intricate arrangements and fantastic execution, and once those melodies get in your head, you'll be hooked for life.
I've heard that their second album is coming out soon ... keep an eye out for it. This is definitely a group on the rise, tell all your friends about them!
Haig & Souren... the next generation

This CD reminded me so much of the Ud & Clarinet dynamic-duo that is Haig Manookian & Souren Baronian (also of NY!) Of course here, Haig's delicious Ud is replaced skillfully with Tareq's delectable Buzuq and Souren's smooth Clarinet with that of Lefteris's. The percussion is just wonderful - tasteful and tight. And the bass-line rounds out the sound with an exquisite completion.
