Really good stuff...

by LaughingMonk

This is a great album - lots of variety, with a mix of original and traditional songs. Its hard to compare it anything else - not too many artists can successfully record strong renditions of traditional songs and create excellent new compositions in the same vein, but Mr. Blackshear does both with equal facility.

This is the kind of music that you can listen to again and again with getting bored or disgusted - its not offensive, its not pablum - its just good. You'll walk away from listening to this album with a smile on your face, which is saying a great deal in this day and age.
