by Ambient beingThis was a real find. Some really well crafted pop songs by this talented singer/songwriter. There was truly some thought and fine musicianship at work in producing Soulever. I liked it so much I checked out Bob Hinrich's previous release "Bob Is Famous". Bob should be. As a musician myself I can truly appreciate what went into this cd. A lot of emotion and hard work. Bob makes it sound so effortless. Simply amazing.

by Nico314I enjoyed this album a lot. Several weeks after listening to it for the first time, I still find several songs from the album going through my head. My favorite is "Perfect Bliss" -- one of the best songs I've ever heard expressing what it's like to have a child. I also really liked the cover of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" (a very different style from the original, but I thought it did a great job of retaining the cheekiness of the original), and the wry humor Bob shows in his songs really comes out in "2 Chords." The songs have a certain freshness and infectiousness about them that makes me want to listen to them again and again and, when I do, I find myself impressed by the lyrics more and more. I look forward to hearing Bob's follow-up.
