Joe Mannix is a singer/songwriter of the highest order. "A Town By The Sea" is nothing short of a modest masterpiece written by a man from the streets of Brooklyn and the (now) gentrified shores of Long Island. A veteran of the folk club scene in New York and elsewhere, Mannix writes songs that will burn long and hard beyond their first listen. Give this album a listen, it is a gem.
