Could you be more Pacific
by babylon-busterThis Artist and this particular CD blew me away. Rob Mehl is the most underrated songwriter out there. I can't believe other more well known artists have'nt recorded his music. His lyrical content and story telling takes you away to the islands and keeps you there wanting more and more. Trop rockers like Rob Mehl need a genre listing for more exposure. This CD and all of his others are well worth the listen to. Pacific is well produced with a full band and rythmic arrangements, The Banyan series are pretty much acoustic and I can only imagine the reason for that is his music is not well distributed. There are 14 songs on this CD and not one is a dud. Slow Down Sumer is the GEM, Paradise and a Walk on the Beach are equally special Beach Music tunes. From mexican ballads (Los Barriles and Rosarito) to Hawaiian melodies (Back to Kaua'i, Ku'u Home, and the IZ melody) this CD has it all. And no one would ever dare to do the IZZY melody and get away with it, his name is Rob Mehl and he gets away with it.
