by EarthToFrank101I "discovered" Sherry Petta using Pandora to pick the songs. Every time one of Sherry's songs came on, I found myself asking "Who IS this?" - Her voice makes you turn your head and smile. Its some combination of inflection, tone, and the way she captures the essence of the songs she sings. If you like Diana Krall, Jane Monheit or Nora Jones you should give this a listen.

by PDeVNot the best voice - not the best phrasing - not the best understanding of the jazz idiom - but she has her own voice - and I like it. Yes, there are a couple of "flats" here and there. Deliberate? If not... well, they are interesting anyway. I can see Sherry Petta an opener at music circuses & melody tents around the country. Yup. Overall, this album gives me a four star feeling. Recommended. <>
Fantastic new singer!
by byrdland49You will love Sherry's voice, and the great arrangements of some classic jazz songs...but the strongest material here are the originals...Sherry's "Waiting" and "Let Me Love You" and a great version of Rita Jones' "Blue Ain't Just a Color". Sherry is a star who will soon be shining brighter....be one of the early adopters of this wonderful talent.
