Best new synthpop I've heard
by Synth-LoverOk, some of the best.. but I really thought I was listening to a record that came-out in the '80s when I put this on. I own the real cd.
There's a lot of different sounds going on here. Varied approaches to the music side of things. But the vocals are constant throughout. This is very happy, melodic stuff. If you like early Yazoo (Yaz), Erasure, etc. you'll love this stuff.
The best songs are:
Nobody's Diary (Yaz cover)... no brainer
Paris in Our Hearts (best song on album)
Faux Pas ( love the electric synth guitar sound in beginning of song)
Choir of Angels
Tora x 3 (Depeche Mode cover)
Bloom sounds like early Blancmange material.
Droid? - Weird little song. Bleepy. Like old Yaz or OMD
Angelic Interlude - instrumental. Sounds like something from a movie soundtrack/sci-fi ish
