GREAT first release from Ms. Jen Porter!
by David KavThis is a great watermark for Ms. Jen Porter. "These Are The Days" has a somber feel to it that soothes you with the ethereal quality of the band and her wonderful harmonies. The rest of the album flows quite nicely. However, the track that REALLY catches me is the last one on the EP, "Last Night." A very stark, passionate and gutsy way for Jen to close her first recording. (I only WISH that she would do this one live someday.)
One thing is for sure, Jen's vocals (both recorded and live,) will stop you in your tracks, grab your attention, and demand your respect. Regardless, it is very obvious what her mission statement is: An outspoken woman that WILL be heard through song.
