Great American Music
by Jerry JodiceI host a weekly independent music podcast called The Great American Music Hour (available on iTunes) and have been featuring the songs of Whisperado for some time now. Despite being from Brooklyn, NY, these guys make authentic Americana music replete with great hooks, smart lyrics, and hot playing. "Some Other Place" is a classic "road song," with a hook that's somewhere between The Jayhawks and Whiskeytown. The rest of the album is just as good; I highly recommend it.
